The above provides part of the qualification set out in section 5 of the Personal Qualifications regulations. Additional to that; Approved Handlers must have knowledge of the substances they are handling. This parallels a requirement under section 12 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 for identified risks and has been in place since 1992. Either the Manager or the course participant’s supervisor must sign a declaration on the Approved Handler application form stating that the applicant has knowledge of the substances. The application form will be distributed at the course training day.

This course meets the requirements of Approved Handler awareness training and is compliant with Regulations 4 and 5 of the Hazardous Substances (Personnel Qualifications) Regulations 2001 and subsequent amendments.

Cancellations please note: Cancellation must be received 2 days prior to the course or a fee of $50.00 will be charged.

We look forward to discussing your HSNO compliance requirements and trust we may be of service to you and your company or organisation.
